Xavi Llongueras i Orriols (Terrassa, 1963). Lives in Prullans

Studied photography at Terrassa municipal school of applied arts (1984-1985). During years has practiced his two best passions: photogrpahy and mountaineering. Actually he combines the profession of outdoor photographer at MTB races, mountain marathons or climbing with the profession of High Mountain guide . This last one makes it easier for him to access to many places that will be more difficult for someone else whithout his capacities.

His photographies have been published at Desnivel, Grandes Espacios, Trail, Vertex, 4x4 verde or American Alpine Journal among others.

For the last six years he has been making the photos and he is publisher of the calendar of the Cerdagne Valley, as well as his own postcards and others by order likes de ‘Cavalls de Vent’ or the Gredos’ ones.

Nowadays he's one of Cadípedraforca magazine photographer, publishad by Editorial Gavarres.

He is usually the photographer for the MTB Catalan Cup, Volcat or the Sky Runner World Series, organised by Ocisport company.

In 2003 did travel to Kirgistan as a official spanish photographer in Raid Gauloises, one of more famous world adventure raids. In 2006, next to Peder Sundström, is officially the photographer of the Adventure Race World Championship, one of the circuit raids that are a part of the world championship of this sports discipline.

During many years he has travelled to different continents, which allows him to dispose of a file over 70.000 images. Now you can find some of these pictures on this site and you can buy them for your article, book or advertising material.

Whithin his trips stands out the second MTB trip to the Himalayas, Turkish Ararat peak at 5.165m in 1989, with the downhill from 4.400m by mountain bike, many expeditions to the most important asian mountain range like: Himalayas, Hindu Kush, and Karakorum. Five trips to the southamerican region of Patagonia, some of them as a guide, and three tops of Aconcagua of 6.959m in Argentina as a High Mountain guide.
